Inclusion is an important part of the International
Baccalaureate programme
Teachers and MYP students shared their knowledge and experience with girls and boys from the rehabilitation center Astra located in Elabuga.

AIS doors are always open for guests. Today teachers and MYP students shared their knowledge and experience with girls and boys from the rehabilitation center Astra located in Elabuga.

The pupils of the center learned about STEM concept of the Alabuga International School, aimed at engineering thinking development. Students from Grade 7-9 held master classes on mobile robot programming in the Scratch language.

International Teachers told about cultural features of their homeland, national cuisine and nature. That’s how the children of the rehabilitation center learned about England, Australia, Spain, India and the Philippines.

For the successful work the children from the Astra center were awarded commemorative certificates.

Inclusion policy is one of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program principle recognising the rights of every child to equal access to knowledge, socialization and individual statement. For AIS students this meeting is a good experience of realizing how different we are and how much we should respect the identity and personal boundaries of each other. We believe that AIS graduates will be the creators of advanced technologies that help to solve the problems of humanity, including particularly genetic diseases.
