Students of Alabuga International School have joined the World Cleanup Day

On September 21, more than 80 schoolchildren and teachers took part in a volunteer campaign to clean up the country from the garbage. The Alabuga International School with the Nizhnyaya Kama National Park, went out to clean the forest.

The participants walked around three kilometers along the ecological trail named after Pavel Alentyev and collected more than ten bags of garbage, which included car tires.

World Cleanup day is a volunteer action to unite society, the state, and the media into one team for cleaning natural areas from solid waste. Also, the teams conduct educational campaigns to promote eco lifestyles, separate, and recycling garbage.

The first World Cleanup Day was on September 15, 2018. It was the largest civil initiative in history that originated in Estonia. This year, more than 20 million people from 180 countries took part in the cleaning around the world! In addition to cleaning the territory of the reserve, the students got acquainted with the Tanaevsky forest and also learned about the inhabitants and history of the park.
