Alabuga International School celebrated “Kid Inventors’ Day”

The event generated great excitement among students and their parents.

Alabuga International School held its annual “Kid Inventors’ Day” on January 23. As is tradition, the school’s forum served as a venue for engineering experiments and presentations of student projects.

The first part of the event was dedicated to a catapult competition. Participants independently designed and built mechanisms intended to knock balls off targets. Winners of the school’s internal championships competed in the small final, with the most accurate students advancing to the grand final. The final rounds were highly competitive, requiring precise calculations and quick decision-making.

The second part of the day featured presentations and defenses of individual and group projects aimed at solving practical problems and improving everyday life. Students presented their inventions to the jury: modified slippers for cleaning the home, a tractor with three buckets for faster snow removal, a system of reflective signs to improve pedestrian safety, and an aircraft for measuring air pollution.

The students’ inventions sparked considerable interest among those attending. The presentations were followed by a question-and-answer session, during which participants, parents, and teachers asked follow-up questions, offered recommendations, and discussed ways to refine the proposed solutions.

The event demonstrated the students’ strong engineering and project design skills and confirmed the effectiveness of a practice-oriented approach to education. Alabuga International School will continue to support initiatives that develop students’ technical creativity and project work.
