Alabuga International School Students Explore Developments at Leading Chinese Universities
Inside Alabuga International School’s Scientific Tour of China
From March 23 to 31, secondary school students from Alabuga International School took part in an extensive international exchange program, visiting Hangzhou, one of China’s leading innovation hubs. The educational trip aimed to strengthen ties with international partners and give students hands-on experience in modern STEM fields.
A key part of the visit was collaborative project work with AIS’s long-standing partner, Hangzhou Greentown Yuhua School. As part of their joint educational program, students worked in teams on research in space science and environmental monitoring. Working in cross-cultural groups allowed them to exchange ideas and gain valuable experience completing complex technical tasks through genuine collaboration. Alongside their project work, AIS students joined their Chinese peers in regular lessons. This immersion gave them an inside look at China’s education system, allowing them to compare academic approaches and broaden their cultural horizons.
The trip’s scientific and educational program also included visits to major technology centers and universities in the region. The AIS delegation visited Beihang University, a leader in aviation and aerospace, and the Institute of Computing Innovation at Zhejiang University, where they explored cutting-edge developments in information technology and artificial intelligence. Further inspiration came from visits to the Future Science Technology Experience Centre, which featured interactive exhibitions on the future of science, and Linping Future Farm, where students explored the use of data analysis and advanced technologies in modern sustainable agriculture.
The trip to Hangzhou was a valuable educational experience for Alabuga International School students. Participation in the program not only broadened their horizons but also significantly strengthened their interest in science and engineering.
