Alabuga International School held its student council presidential election. In 2026, two candidates ran for the position: Dilyara (Grade 7) and Adelina (Grade 11).
The candidates and their teams presented their election platforms at a school assembly. Active campaigning continued throughout the week, with leaflets and posters. Dilyara’s strategy focused on giving every student a stronger voice. Her proposals included introducing a STEM Idea Box, holding an annual student self-governance day, and organizing a large school quest. Adelina focused on exciting trips, creative competitions, and introducing the school’s own symbol—a branded mascot.
The final vote took place in a formal setting, following all established procedures. Students and teachers completed their ballots in specially equipped secret аvoting booths and placed them in sealed ballot boxes. A total of 144 people voted, including students, teachers, and school staff. Dilyara won with a margin of 50% of the votes cast.
Congratulations to Dilyara on her election as student council president. We look forward to seeing her campaign initiatives bring about real change!
