A Concert, Robots, and a Tea Ceremony: AIS Students Visit a Residential Care Home for The Elderly

The Alabuga International School community organized a celebration to mark the Day of Kindness and Respect.
Students and teachers from Alabuga International School made a charitable visit to the Yelabuga Residential Care Home for The Elders and People with Disabilities. The community initiative marked the Day of Kindness and Respect and aimed to support the older generation.

AIS students of all ages contributed to the initiative. The youngest participants, children from the AIS kindergarten, prepared a heartfelt video greeting for the residents.

Students organized a concert program for the elders and people with disabilities. The program included vocal performances, poetry and prose recitations, and instrumental pieces. During the concert, the children also presented the audience with keepsakes and handmade crafts.

A special part of the visit was a series of interactive workshops prepared by Alabuga International School’s senior students. In the robotics workshop, residents learned basic robot control skills. During the Chinese tea ceremony, they explored Chinese tea-drinking traditions and customs, learned traditional tea etiquette, and tasted authentic tea. In the origami workshop, AIS students and residents made paper airplanes carrying warm wishes.

Alongside creative activities and emotional support, Alabuga International School provided financial assistance to the institution. The funds will be used to improve living conditions and meet the care home’s current needs.

The residents and management expressed their deep gratitude to the AIS community for its care, warmth, and engaging celebration program.
