From math puzzles to strategic planning: AIS students visited Hong Kong

As part of the education programme, AIS students visited Hong Kong and ELCHK Lutheran Academy

Students of Alabuga International School visited China with the educational purposes. Within a week the pupils studied on the basis of the International school ELCHK Lutheran Academy with a bias for STEAM (science , technologies, engineering, art, mathematics) in the city of Hong Kong according to the programme of the The International Baccalaureate®.

AIS students introduced and trained ELCHK Lutheran Academy students in financial literacy through business simulation Business Cats.

The team-leadership tournament also did not bypass the students. Competitions were held in three directions: "Mathematics," "Robotics" and "Sport." Tasks and puzzles on the "Lumosity" platform are what awaited the participants in the direction of "Mathematics." Careful planning and focus required a robotic direction where robots had to be programmed to perform various tasks. And sporting events allowed them to demonstrate their physical stamina and team spirit.

In addition, students and teachers got acquainted with the infrastructure of Hong Kong, visited museums of space, science and art.

During the trip, Alabuga International School and ELCHK Lutheran Academy exchanged valuable academic experience, strengthened friendly relations and agreed to hold an annual exchange.
