World Space Week has come to an end at Alabuga International School. Here's how it went:
As part of their robotics class, students assembled and programmed robots to carry out a space mission — delivering red and green minerals. In engineering classes, students created hydraulic rockets from improvised materials, into which they were able to integrate an esp32 module with a pressure sensor to determine altitude, and secured all wired connections with soldering.
In maths, the children took part in a space quiz. In addition to questions about stars, planets, and cosmonauts, they recalled the rules for rounding large numbers and composing numerical sequences.
The students were also able to observe the supermoon, a phenomenon when the Moon is closest to Earth and its surface can be seen in greater detail.
The week ended with the launch of rockets that the children had been building throughout this time. One of the best rockets reached an impressive height of 20 metres, causing a storm of emotions and applause from the whole school.
