Today is International Chess Day!
Chess helps to develop such skills as tactics, strategy, and visual memory. It is one of the oldest strategy games in the world. The idea to celebrate this day as the international chess day was proposed by UNESCO, and it has been celebrated as such since 1966. Alabuga International School emphasizes the importance of chess and implements chess classes and tournaments weekly.
To celebrate this special day AIS students have had chess tournaments today and here are our winners:

2 place Valeriya Tikhomirova ( Grade 4 )
