Federal Educational Standards
FES – Federal Educational Standards FES Federal Educational Standard (FES) - a set of mandatory requirements for education of a certain level and (or) for a profession, speciality and direction of training, approved depending on the level of education by the federal executive body responsible for the development and implementation of state policy and normative-legal regulation in the field of general education, or by the federal executive body responsible for the development and implementation of state policy.
Why do we need Federal Educational Standards?
Federal Educational Standards ensure:
unity of the educational space of the Russian Federation;
continuity of basic educational programmes of primary general, basic general, secondary (complete) general, primary vocational, secondary vocational and higher vocational education.
What does the FES stipulate? Each standard includes 3 types of requirements:
requirements to the structure of basic educational programmes, including requirements to the ratio of parts of the basic educational programme and their volume, as well as to the ratio of the compulsory part of the basic educational programme and the part formed by participants of the educational process;
requirements to the conditions for the implementation of basic educational programmes, including personnel, financial, material, technical and other conditions;
requirements to the results of mastering the basic educational programmes.
