Defender of the Fatherland Day

AIS hosted sporting events involving students and their families

The evening was divided into two parts. At the beginning, a motorboat launching competition was organised. The children and their fathers carefully prepared for this event and spent almost a month constructing boats from any materials of different sizes. Purchased boats were not allowed to participate in the competition.

Working on the construction of a motorboat requires an understanding of the principles of mechanics, hydrodynamics, aerodynamics and other engineering aspects. The most technologically advanced boat, which covered the distance with 100 grams load in the shortest time with minimum deviation from the course and maximum stability was recognised as the boat "Lionheart", which was built by Miron L. from KG-2 with his father. 2nd place - "Boat of the Year" (Leysan G., Grade 5), 3rd place - boat "Guzalia" (Edgard S., KG-2).

After the competition, the families moved from the pool to the sports hall, where they had the opportunity to test their abilities in such sports standards as forward bend on the gymnastics bench, pull-up from hanging on the high bar, kettlebell push-up, long jump and many others.

Working together as a family is a powerful tool for building a healthy competitive spirit, creating positive experiences, developing management skills, resolving conflicts, and strengthening family bonds.
